Objectives

We had a gentleman reach out to us on social media asking our opinion on a rental yield opportunity in a particular suburb. Once advising, we found out that this person had a poor experience with another Buyer’s agent and paid over $80,000 to enter in to a home and land package that was not as discussed. They were looking to invest with their SMSF with a budget of $550,000 however were scared to invest given the prior experience.

Our Engagement Method

After an initial discussion with the client, we leveraged one of our conveyancer partners to review the contract initially entered in- to. They found an exit ability based on the sunset clause provision and the client was ecstatic with the result.

The gentleman soon called us back to request our assistance to find him a new property with his SMSF money. He advised that once the dust settled down on the exit of his other contract, they would try again with their personal investment requirements. He had no preference on location and just wanted to accelerate his investment to make up for lost time with his other investment.
